Underground Cinema Night with Art Haus Forest
December 28 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Art Haus Forest is a collective of queer art house film enthusiasts looking to elevate the spotlight on underground cinema. Film screenings will be free to the public and focused on a theme each season. Our first season will be focused on new queer voices in arthouse film. In today’s dangerous political climate, art focused on under represented communities is more important than ever and it’s our goal to share this groundbreaking cinema with more of the world. Films in our first season will include: I Saw the TV Glow, The People’s Joker, Janet Planet, and Mutt.”
This month’s movie is “I Saw the TV Glow”: Two moody teenagers discover who they are and who they’re meant to be through the lens of a 90s horror TV show in this captivating and beautiful film. A devastating portrait of queer loneliness yet also hopeful in its depiction of self-acceptance and gender identity.
