Resistance & Radiance: A Day of Defiance, A Night of Community
January 28 @ 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm
On January 28, 2025, join us for Resistance & Radiance, a two-part event marking 10 years since the Add The Words hearing.
Ten years ago, Idaho’s LGBTQIA2S+ community came together at the first—and only—Add the Words hearing to demand the inclusion of sexual orientation and gender identity in the Idaho Human Rights Act. Since then, the attacks on our rights have escalated, but our fight hasn’t stopped. We continued to show up, to resist, and to care for one another.
Event Schedule
✨ A Day of Resistance (12:00–2:00 PM)
Rally and protest at the Idaho State Capitol honoring decades of LGBTQIA2S+ resistance in Idaho and the continued fight against systems designed to erase us.
🌟 An Evening of Radiance (6:00–9:00 PM)
Gather at the Linen Building in Boise for connection, storytelling, and community care, featuring a Queer History gallery, oral history recordings, and a screening of the Add The Words documentary.
This day isn’t just about marking a moment in time—it’s a chance to show that our community’s legacy and strength will endure, no matter what comes next.
