Katie Swanson — Board Member

Katie (she/her) grew up in Idaho in a conservative religious environment (and can tell you a lot about church camp as a result!) and began her journey of self-discovery and acceptance later in life, quietly starting to come out well into adulthood. She is deeply grateful to the representation in TV shows and books that helped her find the language to understand her experiences and identity. As a parent to three kids, Katie is passionate about fostering a world where inclusivity, kindness, and acceptance are the norms.

In her role on the board, she is dedicated to ensuring that our services reach all corners of the state, especially those often left behind. Katie believes in the power of community and the importance of creating spaces where everyone, regardless of background or access, feels seen and supported. She loves a good book, traveling to new places, tricking her partner into adopting puppies, and advocating for a kinder, more inclusive world for her kiddos to grow up in.
