Here are some of our favorite ways to take care of our selves and our community during this time of self-isolation. Remember we are still connected!
“I stay connected with friends and family. My family usually has a weekly coffee date, which we now do virtually. And I’ve found ways that I can help other folks like helping MCC stream their church services. I’m also helping with a new queerspawn platform/app that is being developed. And then I take time every day to relax by stretching/exercising, reading, listening to music, etc.”
“My favorite things right now are playing in the garden and the kitchen. I’ve also been taking my pup out for walks”
“Routine: new and old”
“Going on walks, being outside and gardening. Also singing in my backyard #sorryneighbors”
“Eating snacks and fussing over my new animal co-workers Cat and Jax”
“Lots and lots of baked goods”
“Checking in on my friends, family, and loved ones, especially my Mom, every week”
“Virtual coffee dates, happy hours, and hangouts with friends”
“Supporting local businesses. Purchasing gift cards, ordering out and donating to struggling small and family owned businesses, keep it local!”
