Taylor Payne (she/her) grew up in Denver, Colorado, but made the leap to Boise in 2015 after earning her degree in Secondary Education. While Denver will always be part of her story, Boise quickly became her true home. It’s where she’s built her life, had two babies, and embraced her identity as a queer woman. Taylor’s journey has been one of growth—personally, professionally, and in her sense of community.

Since moving to Boise, Taylor has pivoted her career into the nonprofit sector. She thrives in roles that allow her to optimize systems, streamline operations, and collaborate with teams to solve complex problems. Her passion for creating efficiency and nurturing growth in others has shaped her career, and she’s always looking for ways to learn and evolve.

A proud advocate for the queer community, Taylor is dedicated to expanding empathy and understanding for queer Idahoans. As a member of the TCC board for the next two years, she hopes to create a more efficient volunteer onboarding process, help expand the TCC’s reach across Idaho, and work toward building stronger, more inclusive communities. In her free time, Taylor enjoys backpacking, reading sapphic novels, hiking with her kids and pups, and walking all over Boise with her partner.
