Grant Writer
Description: The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding from private foundations, government agencies, and corporate donors. This role plays a critical part in sustaining and expanding our programs and services through effective grant acquisition and relationship building with funders.
Skills needed: 2+ years of experience in community based grant writing , Responsive to email and texts, Organized, Attention to detail, Record keeping, Reliable, Can work independently with little oversight (once trained), Can use or learn Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc.)
Estimated Time: 3-5 hours per week

Event Coordinator
Description: The Event Coordinator is the main contact for all events hosted at and by The Community Center.
Skills needed: Communication, both written and verbal, Responsive to email and texts, Organized, Attention to detail, Reliable, Can work independently with little oversight (once trained), Can use or learn Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc.)
Estimated Time: 2-4 hours per week

Custodian / Handythey
Estimated Time: 2-4 hours/month; 6 months minimum commitment

Description: We are seeking a few volunteers to pick up a routine shift (e.g., 1-2 hours on the first Thursday of the month) to help us keep our facility clean. We have a weekly cleaning list and all the cleaning supplies. You would receive training from our facility lead, Liz!
Skills Needed: ability to clean; may need to be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
