We are also re-organizing our volunteers to make sure we can utilize all voices and talents. If you’re interested, please sign up!

Please take part in the 2021 National School Climate Surveywhich is GLESN’s twelfth national survey of LGBTQ+ youth about their experiences at school. The National School Climate Survey is a biennial survey and the only national survey that specifically examines the experiences of LGBTQ+ youth at school. The survey asks youth about their experiences with harassment and victimization at school, hearing biased language from students and school staff (e.g., homophobic and racist remarks), and other factors that affect their overall feelings of comfort and safety at school. It provides an opportunity for LGBTQ+ youth to speak out about the unique challenges they face and to inform education policymakers and the public about what is really going on in U.S. schools.  Click here to view the results from the most recently released 2019 National School Climate Survey report >> We understand that across the U.S., school has looked very different this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. However, the 2021 National School Climate Survey is open to all LGBTQ+ students, regardless of whether they attended school virtually, in person, or a blend of both. This year’s survey also includes questions about students’ experiences at home, and challenges related to the pandemic and online learning.
